Why the Maintenance Cost for a Diesel Engine is high?

The diesel is the fuel that reacts with air in the chamber of the diesel engine.It can be obtained from the distillation of petroleum.Diesel engine car prices are high and maintenance cost are also high.But the diesel price is low.Keep in mind,if you choose diesel car because of the low price then that will not be a right choice.Diesel is obtained from the early stage of Crude Oil Purification.

But,petrol is manufactured from various stages.So unwanted slags will be eliminated and pure fuel will be obtained and that is petrol.So in the case of petrol engine the damage is low.But the diesel engine will work under lot of pressure into it.So very strong components are used in diesel engine.Then also the damage will be more for diesel engine comparing to petrol engine.

Diesel engine maintenance is doubler than petrol engine.The Reason is more oil changes and frequent engine maintenance makes the cost higher.If we fail to maintain diesel vehicles properly then the expenditure will bite your purse.Likewise,diesel engine spare parts cost are higher than that of the petrol engine spare parts.When a diesel vehicle crosses 4 lac kilometers it is necessary to do “overhauling” of engine.

Hereby,your vehicle life will be extended.If we maintain the diesel engine properly we can expect more power and superb functionality than petrol engine.The reason for the short life time of a diesel engine is the lack of maintenance.

How to Check Engine Oil?

Apart from Car driving every car owner must  know how to test the Engine Oil.In your Car-Manual they have clearly mentioned on how to check the ‘Tip-Stick’ oil level.Every time while checking your oil-level you have to keep an eye on it.Many people have confusion about changing oils.As mentioned in the car manual,change the oil according to the Km/service intervals.It is enough.

Mostly,it is better to change the oil once every 10,000km.Mostly at the service-station itself they will top-up the oil level.Another confusion while changing the oil,whether  to use Mineral oil or synthetic oil? Don’t use Synthetic oil for the first 20,000km.After that,you can generously use synthetic oil that suits your car.

Ground Clearance

The distance between the car and the road is called ground clearance.Generally off-roading cars will have more ground clearance.

At the same time sports car will have less ground clearance to gain balance.Cars without proper ground clearance will encounter more trouble while crossing speed breakers and bad conditioned roads.

New Less Weight Engine

Mahindra acquired korean ssangyong motors and mahindra is preparing a small petrol engine with ssongyaong motors.

It will be a 1.2litre petrol engine that delivers 85bhp power.

It will be in very light weight as it is made up of fully "all aluminium".

If this engine is launched the it is sure that all the bike's will get more mileage.It also reduces the consumption of fuel.

Tips For Vehicle Maintenance

Wash the vehicles with water at least once a week in home itself.Oil leakages in engine,gearbox,suspension etc...should be checked periodically.Distilled water level in the battery should also be checked.

   First time start the bike using the kick-start at the morning instead of self start.It will increase the life of battery and self motor for a long time.

     Engine oil should be changed periodically as suggested by the company.If you do so,it will increase the life of engine.

      Unnecessarily pressing the clutch during the vehicle running will reduce the flow of power from engine to wheel.

    Chain sprocket in bikes should not be fitted very tightly or loosely as it will damage the gear wheel.It will also cut the mileage.

      If the tyres are getting punctures often then it means that the tyre is weak.So it should be changed. Driving until the tyre buttons are getting flat then it is very risk. 

Run Flat Tyres

The Punctured Cars with run flat tyres can run up to 50-60km distance continuously at a speed of 50km.Run Flat  Tyres are commonly used in VVIP’S car for safety measures.

Tyre is the Life Of A Vehicle

Poor wheel alignment and balancing will first affect the car suspension and steering.If you keep the steering straight also the car will not go ahead in the straight line,it may pull us to left or right side so it means that there is some problem in the alignment.

Secondly,wheel balancing.No car will have the 100 percent proper balance.The next second when your car gets on the road after doing wheel balance also the wheel balance will be changed.So frequently wheel balance should be done.

Thirdly,tyre rotation.All the 5 tyres(including stepney) in the car should be used equally hence tyre rotation is done.Rotation method will be different for front,rear and 4 wheel drive cars.

If you fixed a new tyre for your car then don't drive very fast for the first 500km. Then only your tyre will get good grip on the road..

Applying Automatic Brake On Identifying Pedestrians

Ford company recently tested this new technology that identifies the pedestrians across the road and it will apply the brake automatically.A camera is fitted in the windshield and a radar is fitted in the bumper.This device will flag a caution signal to the driver if any pedestrian is across the road.

In the absence of driver's reaction to the caution signal the automatic braking system is applied and the car stops automatically.Ford is going to include this feature in its ford mondeo 2015 model sedan car for the first time.

Many people won't wear seat belt while driving or they even won't matter about it.In china many of them wear t-shirts that has seat belt design in it to avoid wearing seat belt. Hero Motocorp company has manufactured its first sports bike called HX 250R bike.This bike has been exhibited in the International Motor Cycle Exhibition that was held at America on the last year.This bike is designed with Full Bird Version.

Kawasaki Cruiser bike

New premium Cruiser bike called Vulcan S has been introduced world-wide.The new ER-6n model bike which is the naked version of Ninja 650 bike has been recently introduced in India. Similarly this has been introduced as a cruiser model of Ninja 650 bike.At the global level,it is going as “Entry Level” Cruiser bike of Kawasaki.It is expected that this new model will come to the Indian market too.

In India Harley Davidson's street 750 is an important bike. Halrey Davidson introduced this bike especially for indian customers and for indian roads. Only rich people can afford this bike so harley davidson targeted the upper middle class people and it has brought this street 750. Moreover street 750 is the first harley davidson bike that is manufactured out of America. At he back of the Black colour single shield in front there is a large clear lens headlight is placed.Single dial speedometer being an analog meter,odo,trip meter which all are in digital.But petrol level indicator is not there.Instead of that if petrol decreases and if it comes to reserve it gives a warning.

In harley davidson bike's there is an indicator switches for right and left sides that is placed everywhere.But in street 750 bike it is placed in left side as like in indian bikes.Day time running light is not given as it is a 'budget Harley'.Rear mirror is small so that the vehicles coming behind is not fully visible.It's Individuality tail light design makes us to find it is an harley bike from viewing behind.Fit and finish,build quality is super.

Tvs Apache 200cc bike

Already apache 160cc and 180cc bikes are running in the market.But in order to give competition for pulsar 200cc this model is launched.It will come to the market in mid 2015.May be the design will be based on the draken concept model.The design of the apache rtr200 will be based on the name of X-symbol.

Gearbox:E6.In the current apache bikes tvs tyres are there.But in the coming model Michelin tyres are going to take place in order to get more grip on the road.

Italian company Piaggio is currently selling Vespa scooters.It show cased its liberty 125 cc scooter in the Delhi Auto-Expo.The main speciality of this scooter is the big wheel.

Yamaha’s 3 Wheel Motor Cycle

This year  Yamaha is going to introduce Multi-Wheel  motor cycle.Although it looks like Piaggio m.p 3 but this is designed specially for Yamaha.This concept was first introduced at Tokyo Motor Show that was held in 2007.

 When turning curves the front wheels is subject to adjustment. Yamaha manufactured   this scooter with enhanced new technology and design combined with  Multi-Wheel technology by keeping Piaggio m.p 3 in mind. Yamaha Lining is with Multi-Wheeler 3 tyres.It looks sporty and practically designed.

It has participated in EIMCA Motor Show held at Italy on Nov 2014.
